Susan Murray MP

Susan Murray is the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Mid Dunbartonshire, elected in July 2024. She is not a career politician. She was a local businesswoman, a former councillor and a longstanding champion for the communities she serves. 

  

Before being elected to Westminster, Susan served as a councillor for Kirkintilloch East and North and Twechar for East Dunbartonshire Council. She knows how to get things done for constituents because she has spent years doing exactly that. 

  

For Susan, politics is personal. When her husband suffered a brain haemorrhage, she became his carer. That experience drives her determination to secure better healthcare and support for everyone in Mid Dunbartonshire. 

  

Susan also serves as the Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Scotland, giving our community a strong voice at the heart of Westminster. 

  

She lives locally and is committed to being an MP who is visible, accessible and always working hard for the people of Mid Dunbartonshire.
